Kentucky For Hemp is heading to Lexington November 26th for a meeting with Representative Andy Barr. A group of Hemp Warriors from varied political backgrounds will have an opportunity to meet with Rep Barr, and ask him to be a co-sponsor for Rep Thomas Massie’s Industrial Hemp legislation, H.R. 525.
This meeting would have never happened were it not for the hard work of Fred Kirsch, Director of Hemp For America. Fred traveled to Kentucky from Colorado to gather signatures and support from residents of Lexington, in the hopes that he could somehow get those petitions and letters into the hands of Representative Barr and show him just how deeply his constituents believe in this crop.
Fred’s huge sacrifice of time, money, and energy yielded over 300 petitions, letters, and pleas for Representative Barr to sign on and lend his full support to this cause. His dedication to the cause has not gone unnoticed here in Kentucky, so we decided to try to set a meeting in person with Rep Barr, and hand-deliver the results of Fred’s hard work.
